What cities does AmaVIP operate in?
AmaVIP operates primarily in Pietermaritzburg but includes transfers to and from King Shaka International Airport, Durban.
How do I reserve, change or cancel a booking?

How far in advance can I make a booking?
You can make a booking months in advance, or as soon as 24hrs before you need them. We recommend booking with as much lead time as possible to ensure the vehicle you want is available.
When do I receive my booking confirmation?
Confirmations are sent via email and sms as soon as bookings are completed.
How long will the chauffeur wait for me?
For a standard pickup (i.e. from a hotel or home address), your chauffeur will wait for 30 minutes before leaving the pickup point. The first 15 minutes are complimentary, and you will only be charged for the remaining 15 minutes. If you know ahead of time you may be delayed, we recommend calling us so that we can find a workaround for you.
Airport pickups come with one hour of complimentary wait time before the chauffeur will leave the pickup location. By providing your flight number when booking, your chauffeur will be able to track your arrival time and adjust your pickup time for any delays and early arrivals where possible. If there is a very long delay and the chauffeur is unable to wait, we will contact you to work out an alternative solution.
How should I choose the pickup time at airports?
Are you traveling domestically or internationally? If you will go through immigration and customs, wait times can vary. If you are flying domestic, whether you are traveling with hand luggage or checked baggage can make a difference. For international flyers, we recommend one hour of buffer time between the flight arrival and your pickup time.
To accommodate unexpected delays, all airport pickups come with an hour of complimentary wait time. Plus, if you provide your flight details when booking we will track your arrival time and adjust your pickup time accordingly where possible. Where will the chauffeur meet me at airports?
All of AmaVIP bookings include a free Meet & Greet service for airport pickups. The chauffeur will wait at the exit after baggage claim with a personalized pickup sign. For airport pickups where the meeting point is different, the location will be written in the booking confirmation email.
How do I add extra stops to my one-way transfer booking?
You can request additional stops when placing a booking. However, additional wait time or distance charges may occur, as the additional stops are not factored into the shown price.
If you want to make multiple or lengthy stops, we highly recommend booking an hourly ride in order to guarantee the availability of the chauffeur. You can make as many stops during an hourly booking as you like.
What is the cancellation policy?
For one-way transfers, cancellation is free of charge up until one hour before the pickup time. If there is one hour or less left before the pickup time, the total price must be paid. For hourly bookings, cancellation is free of charge if there are more than 24 hours left before the agreed pickup time. If there are 24 hours or less before the agreed pickup time, the total price must be paid. What happens if I have a lot of luggage but want to travel in the BMW i8 or Audi R8?,/p>
Because space is limited in these vehicles, a second vehicle will be deployed to transfer your luggage, whilst you enjoy your ride of choice.
What if I am travelling with cash or valuables?
AmaVIP offers Personal Protection for transfers that require it. We can discuss and accommodate your specific needs.
